The sensor features enhanced sensitivity, reliably detecting even the slightest movements, such as a person waving. Optimized detection accuracy reduces misinterpretations and ensures reliable activation as soon as someone enters the monitored area – which can be up to 7 meters wide. In the event of an alarm, a notification is triggered, which is particularly beneficial in security applications.

Ambience Measurement and Automation

In addition to motion detection, the Xiaomi Motion Sensor 2S precisely measures ambient light levels up to 1000 lux. This feature allows for seamless coordination with connected lights, which can be automatically switched on in low-light conditions. Automated processes are controlled via compatible devices that support the Bluetooth® gateway function, allowing lights and household appliances to be switched on and off as needed.

Long battery life and flexible installation

Thanks to a new Bluetooth Low Energy chip, power consumption is optimized, ensuring an estimated battery life of up to three years at an ambient temperature of 25°C. This energy efficiency is further demonstrated by its reliable performance during regular motion detection and light measurements. The sensor features a compact design and easy installation with adhesive backing. Flexible positioning, allowing up to 90° vertical and 360° horizontal adjustment, enables precise alignment within the application area.
